Blockley Little Village Hall

The Blockley Little Village Hall is an attractive Grade II listed heritage building that provides a charmingly unique environment for all kinds of activities, meetings and community events involving up to 50 people. On several occasions it has been transformed into a set for the BBC’s “Father Brown” TV series. Most recently, the Hall was dressed as a hospital ward in an episode entitled "The Quill of Osric".

Originally constructed in the late 18th Century as a church meeting house by the Reverend Elisha Smith ‐ Baptist preacher, enlightened social reformer and leading Blockley merchant ‐ the chapel was acquired after the First World War and placed in a trust on behalf of the people of Blockley by Elisha's great‐grandson Edward Robinson who converted it at his own expense to a village hall.

Whether accommodating a music rehearsal, tea party or business meeting, the Hall has everything the user might need: comfortable seating, tables, a well equipped kitchen, superfast WiFi and toilet. To hire Blockley’s uniquely beautiful and practical meeting place, please complete and submit the Booking Enquiry form which will send an email with your details to us. Better quality glassware and cutlery for 25 guests are available for that special dinner party or event. We ask for a £50 refundable deposit to cover the use of this equipment. This will be returned provided there are no breakages and the hall is left clean and tidy after your event.
